They first met together at Harvard Law School in 2008 and tied the knot in 2012 at Paris Club. During their wedding ceremony, former U.S. President Barack Obama was present. At that time Laura’s mother was the senior advisor to the President in the White House.  She known to many as the co-anchor of Saturday TODAY and a respected senior legal correspondent for NBC News, is married to Tony Balkissoon for over a decade.

According to Tony Balkissoon’s wife Laura, both waited a while before they had children. Laura says, “It was a super valuable decision because we just got to have fun. Kids are wonderful, but they can be extremely taxing on marriages. We had a ball just the two of us for a long time and I think that really set us up for success.”

On 16th July 2019, Both, Tony & Laura were blessed with a baby. It’s a son. James Anthony Balkissoon is the name of their son.

June Tahay Balkissoon is the daughter and second child of Tony Balkissoon and his wife Laura Jarrett. She was born on 17th July 2022 and is named after Laura’s mother, Valerie June Jarrett, and Tony’s mother, Tahay Balkissoon.
