Suparna Majumdar (West Bengal) : If Salman Khan’s Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai released on Eid as usual date, will there be any effect of the latest Chinese virus ? Will opening be effected like Baaghi 3 or Angrezi Medium ?
Answer : If cinemas remain shut down as usual then there will be no question of collection and Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai won’t release on Eid either. Considering, all the cinemas will be open in full fledge the same as earlier (which is unlikely) then also there will a tension situation among the cine lovers in next one or two months. But, Radhe is an out and out Salman Khan movie which his target supporters want him from the posters glimpse (as of now). More importantly, Radhe is releasing on Pre Eid (which is a dull period for mass action type movies). On paper Pre Eid and the latest Chinese virus should make a negative impact on the Radhe opening. Plus clash (if any) which will also restrict the opening business. Having said that, Salman Khan is beyond all equation as per Box Office initial is concern. Right now he is still the best bet in Bollywood in terms of opening. If you look past performance, both Kick and Race 3 also released on Pre Eid and both put up over 25 Crores opening. This is where Salman Khan is ahead as compared to other actors. Recently, there was a tense situation in a few mass belts due to the NRC issue, especially in the UP & Bihar market. Despite that, Dabangg 3 almost ended with around 25 Crores mark opening. This figure is hard to cross by any Bollywood movie on Non-Holiday in the last one year or so (except Saaho Hindi Version). No doubt left Radhe will certainly take strong opening even if it’s releases on Pre Eid due to Salman Khan mass factor. I am pretty much sure it won’t affect like Angrezi Medium or Baaghi 3 opening. The only thing is will all the cinemas remain open or not ?
