The Outwaters is a surrealist horror film from 2022, crafted by Robbie Banfitch, who took on the roles of writer, director, producer, and editor. This film is uniquely presented as found footage retrieved from memory cards belonging to a group of friends who journey into the Mojave Desert in 2017 to film a music video, only to encounter strange and menacing phenomena. The Outwaters made it’s debut at the New Jersey Film Festival on February 12, 2022, and subsequently screened at various other film festivals. It was released in select theaters across the United States by Cinedigm on February 10, 2023. The Outwaters is a flop at Box Office.
