Noah Hawley Discloses Whether A Crossover With Predator Could Ever Occur

The Alien and Predator franchises are flourishing under Disney’s stewardship, and with the recent renewal of Alien – Earth, fans are speculating about the possibility of a crossover in the forthcoming season. Alien – Earth Season 2 remains enveloped in uncertainty, having been renewed just under a month ago.

Therefore, when creator Noah Hawley joined the Smart Less podcast, the hosts eagerly inquired about the possibility of a Predator crossover in the series. Unfortunately, his reply was not particularly optimistic.

Noah Hawley disclosed that although he enjoyed both Prey and Predator – Badlands, he has no intentions of merging these two significant franchises. Currently, the only predators that will appear in Alien – Earth are the legendary Xenomorphs.

Noah Hawley decisively puts an end to any speculation or expectations that fans might have regarding a showdown between the two legendary creatures in Alien – Earth Season 2.

According to Noah Hawley, “No, I don’t believe it will be part of the show. I think Dan Trachtenberg, the director of ‘Prey’ and the upcoming ‘Badlands’ movie, is doing an excellent job with that franchise. I really enjoyed ‘Prey.’ He obviously has a clear vision for it. I’ve only met Dan once, and we aren’t collaborating on any of those projects. Therefore, it’s not my intention to be involved.”

By highlighting Trachtenberg’s leadership of the Predator franchise and commending his achievements with Prey and Badlands, he is distinctly separating the two franchises. Nevertheless, the creator’s statement does not imply that a crossover is entirely off the table. Hawley merely indicated that it would not take place within his series.

There are countless additional chances for the Xenomorphs and Yautja to encounter each other. Predator – Badlands has already established a strong link between the two Universes. The latest film showcased synths from Weyland-Yutani, the primary corporate villains in the Alien series.

This might be Disney’s strategy to pave the way for a future project featuring both of these alien species. A follow-up to the successful science fiction movie, Alien – Romulus, is in development. Although it is still unclear if this film will connect with the Predator series, there is still a chance for an exciting crossover.

Alien – Earth marks the inaugural TV series within the franchise’s history. Set in the year 2120, the narrative unfolds as a research vessel crashes on Earth, releasing Xenomorphs and various other dangers upon the planet.

The storyline centers around a group of young synthetic hybrids, referred to as the Lost Boys by their creator, Boy Kavalier, who is the owner of Prodigy Corp. This series serves as a prequel to the iconic 1979 film Alien, with it’s events occurring just two years prior to the original movie.
