According to ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, authorities have taken a man into custody after he crashed through the front gate of Jennifer Aniston’ residence.
On May 5, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KABC Los Angeles and CNN that an incident occurred at the home of the Friends actress in the upscale Bel Air area of Los Angeles.
Jennifer Aniston was at her residence when the police arrived in response to a call. The LAPD stated that a private security guard intervened by removing the man from the vehicle and detaining him until law enforcement arrived.
Authorities apprehended a man, identified by CNN as a white male in his 70s, who is now facing charges of felony vandalism due to the damage he inflicted, according to officials speaking to KABC.

According to police reports to KABC, the individual involved has a minor criminal background, yet it is still unclear if he had Jennifer Aniston in his sights.
This incident follows a troubling event from months ago when Jennifer Aniston fell prey to a suspected swatting prank. Reports from KTLA and The Independent in September revealed that an individual had contacted the LAPD, directing them to the home of the The Morning Show star.
Swatting involves the deceitful act of reporting a non-existent emergency to law enforcement, aiming to provoke a response from a SWAT team or other public safety personnel.
According to law enforcement officials who spoke to TMZ, an individual expressed concern for a friend and asked for a welfare check, without ever mentioning Jennifer Aniston’s name. The police reported that they contacted Aniston, who assured them that everything was fine.
