Gal Gadot Discloses The Possibility of An Evil Queen Snow White Spinoff

Gal Gadot has just disclosed her willingness to reprise the role of the Evil Queen should the Snow White antagonist get her own spinoff. Gadot, known for her role as the Evil Queen in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Snow White, expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her character in a possible spinoff film.

During her recognition at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala, she shared with Us Weekly, “I would love to do that. Yes.” The actress further remarked, “Make sure to tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I’m ready to do that.”

The 2025 reimagining of the cherished film featured Rachel Zegler in the role of the iconic princess and Andrew Burnap as her romantic counterpart, Jonathan. Unfortunately, Snow White struggled significantly at the Box Office, ranking as the fourth Disney live-action remake that failed to recoup it’s costs, earning only $205.7 million against an estimated budget of $240–270 million.

The other three remakes that also did not recover their production expenses include Dumbo (2019), Mulan (2020), and The Little Mermaid (2023). Many viewers link the failure of Snow White to Zegler’s contentious remarks and her responses during press interactions.

Just prior to the film’s release, the actress shared her pro-Palestinian political stance on social media. This ignited significant backlash, resulting in numerous individuals boycotting the movie. Furthermore, public outrage intensified as she reaffirmed her beliefs.

It has been reported that the situation escalated to the point where producer Marc Platt requested Zegler to remove her social media posts, a request she refused. This prompted his son, Jonah Platt, to issue his own remarks.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, he claimed she was “hijacking” the film and labeled her as selfish for jeopardizing a project that countless individuals invested their heart and soul into. Zegler also expressed her disapproval of Disney’s classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

She described it as outdated and pointed out the oddity of the princess ending up with a character who was “literally stalking her.” Gadot acknowledged that she thought Zegler wasn’t the sole reason for Snow White’s underperformance.

“The film didn’t fail just because of outside influences,” she clarified. The actress went on to say, “Numerous elements contribute to a film’s success or failure, and success is never assured.” At the moment, there are no announced plans for a spinoff of Snow White that includes the Evil Queen.
