Dylan Walsh, the star of Blue Bloods, along with his family, was involved in a significant car accident this past weekend in Rumson, New Jersey.
The 61-year-old actor, known for his role as Mayor Peter Chase in the popular TV Series Blue Bloods, along with four other passengers, was reportedly traveling north on a local street when the vehicle unexpectedly veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a utility pole.
Authorities informed the media that two individuals were transported to the hospital after expressing discomfort at the location. The identity of the individual needing medical assistance and the driver of the SUV, a 2022 Ford Explorer, remain uncertain.
However, images from the accident reveal significant damage to the front of the vehicle, with the front airbags having been deployed. “During the weekend, Dylan Walsh and his family were part of a car accident in Rumson. Fortunately, all involved are safe and have returned home,” stated Walsh’s representative.
The family expresses profound gratitude for the prompt actions of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, along with the dedicated staff at Riverview Medical Center for their exceptional care, they remarked.
Leslie Bourque, (Dylan Walsh’s wife), shared details about the crash in a Facebook post that has since been deleted. As per Leslie, “Our family was involved in a car accident on River Road yesterday afternoon. We want to express our gratitude to everyone who supported us during this frightening time.”
She further stated, “First and foremost, we thank the managers and staff at River Point Inn who rushed out to ensure our safety and comfort our children (one woman even embraced all of us, reassuring us that everything would be alright) — providing ice packs and the premium Evian water bottle.”
She wrapped up with a note on the family’s health, stating; “We have some bruises from the seatbelts, but we are thankful for them and the airbags that protected our lives. We sincerely apologize to anyone who experienced a loss of power or any inconvenience.”
Dylan Walsh and Leslie Bourque have been happily married since 2022 and are proud parents of two children, 13-year-old daughter Amelie Bell and their 12-year-old son Hudson Scott.
Additionally, Dylan has two adult children, Thomas and Joanna, from his previous marriage to Boogie Nights actress Melora Walters. This couple was married from 1996 until 2003. Following that, he was married to actress Joanna Going from 2004 to until 2012, and together they have a daughter named Stella, who is now 21.

Both Frank and Garrett are resolute about Garrett remaining in his position, proposing a counteroffer to appoint one of Chase’s suggested candidates as an assistant. Chase agrees to this, but warns them that once he is officially in office, “what I say goes.”
