Birth/Rebirth is a psychological horror film from 2023, directed by Lee Moss and co-written by Moss and Brendan J. O’Brien. Drawing inspiration from Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein, the story centers on a morgue technician (Ireland) who, after successfully bringing a young girl (Lister) back to life, collaborates with the girl’s mother (Reyes) to ensure her survival. The film made it’s debut at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2023, and was released in theaters across the United States by IFC Films on August 18, 2023, receiving favorable reviews from critics.
